John Gruel, CPA
An Adrian native, John has both an undergraduate and graduate degree from the University of Michigan. He has been in public accounting since 1968. He served four years with a national accounting firm before joining a predecessor firm. John’s client service areas are manufacturing, contracting, retail and food services industries.
James Parker, CPA
Jim joined the firm in 1980 upon his graduation from Western Michigan University. He has responsibility for the firm’s adherence to technical accounting and tax pronouncements. Jim works primarily with clients in the manufacturing and construction industries.
Brian Nofzinger, CPA
Brian’s practice focus is on audit and attestation services with emphasis on management advisory services. His client base consists of manufacturing, contracting, non-profit organizations and governmental units. In addition, Brian works extensively with employee benefit plan audits. Prior to joining the firm, he served as a corporate accountant for a multi-national manufacturing business.
Daniel T. Brown, CPA
Dan received his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Defiance College in 2007 and upon graduation joined the firm. Dan provides accounting and tax services on a variety of engagements. He specializes in attestation and tax return preparation services for corporations and individuals. Dan has worked on governmental township audit engagements and is proficient in numerous accounting software systems as well.
Jason T. Cielen
Jason received his Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Western Michigan University and joined the firm in 2003. He provides auditing, attestation, accounting, and tax services to school districts, not-for-profit organizations, and a multitude of for-profit industries. Jason specializes in attestation and tax return preparation services for not-for-profit and for-profit organizations with an emphasis on not-for-profit organizations. Jason directs his professional development toward accounting, reporting, and tax issues which confront our clients, as well as, audit and quality control standards and firm practice management. While Jason specializes in attestation and tax services, he also assists our clients on several tax planning engagements, individual income tax return preparation, and is familiar with multiple accounting and bookkeeping systems.
Drew received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Siena Heights University in 2011 and joined the firm upon graduation. He provides auditing, attestation, and taxation services on a variety of engagements including not-for-profits, school districts, and governmental entities. He also provides tax preparation services for business, individuals, not-for-profits, and governmental entities.
Lisa joined the firm at the end of 2016 and will be working at both our Adrian and Jackson offices. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Siena Heights University. Her work experience consists of multi-state payroll and garnishment processing for large corporations. Lisa provides tax preparation, auditing, bookkeeping, payroll services for businesses and individuals, as well as taxation services on a variety of engagements including not-for-profit and for-profit organizations.
Kristy joined the firm towards the end of 2016. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Siena Heights University in 2013. Kristy provides auditing, attestation, and tax services on a variety of engagements. She also provides tax preparation services for individuals, not-for-profit, and businesses.
